Iran’s film ‘Weightlessness’ to vie in Bulgaria

Iranian movie ‘Weightlessness’ has been selected to compete at the 12th Sofia Menar Film Festival in Bulgaria.

The film is directed by Mehdi Fard-Qaderi and produced by Morteza Shayesteh.

‘Weightlessness’ has a feminine story penned by the director.

The main events of the film take place on a wedding night and the storyline focuses on the relationship between various women.

The cast of the film includes Tina Pakravan, Afsaneh Bayegan, Leila Otadi, Anahita Nemati and Bahareh Kian-Afshar.

The fest makes the Bulgarian audience familiar with the culture and traditions of the Islamic world.

It also presents the best feature films, documentaries and short projects from the Middle East and North Africa.

Sofia Menar fest is slated for January 15-31, 2020.
